If you had a hole in the wall of your
house, would you tear the whole house down and rebuild it?
Of course not. But most professional paving contractors want
to tear out your driveway to fix potholes and cracks! They
think that anything less isn't worth their time. And the
small pothole guys don't have the expertise to do proper
repairs. They buy cold fill from the hardware store which
decays rapidly, leaving you with a hole full of loose
gravel! We have high tech infrared equipment that heats up
the area and then we fill the pothole with hot asphalt from
our asphalt recycling machine which seals the area from
further decay. Asphalt pavement begins to deteriorate almost
as soon as it's placed. As the pavement is exposed to
oxygen, the asphalt hardens. This hardening results in a
brittle surface that will eventually crack. The cracks
enable oxygen and rainwater to penetrate the pavement, often
into the sub base, weakening it and reducing pavement
strength. Seal coating protects the surface and fills
surface voids, reducing the pavement's exposure to oxygen
and water, and extending pavement life.
Seal coating brings back the dark black color of the
original pavement, making it look and wear like new. Seal
coated pavements also are easier to clean and maintain.
Because seal coats fill the surface voids, they make the
surface much smoother We recommend that you seal coat your
driveway every 2 years. |
